HAJI AWANG HAJI ALI
EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Haji Awang has been groomed to succeed his father’s business, established since the 70s.

He further expanded his father’s conglomerate, venturing into various trading sectors including Oil and Gas industry. As the Executive Chairman, he is responsible for corporate decision making and policy formulations towards realising the goals and vision of BSC and the Group of Companies. His knowledge and expertise had guided Belait Shipping Company (BSC) into providing a strategic direction for the development of the Company’s growth.

He was elected member of Bureau Veritas Asia-Australia Committee in April 2010 and was conferred with the Darjah Kebesaran Johan Setia Diraja (Kehormat) by the Malaysian government in 2011. He became the founding member and Chairman of Brunei Shipowners Association in 2013. With his vast experience and knowledge had aided BSC to aspire to become Brunei Darussalam’s de-facto leader in providing specialised marine infrastructure solutions.


HAJI MUHD NOR ARIFFIN DATO PADUKA HAJI SABTU
CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Haji Ariffin is a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, graduated from Imperial College London, UK. He joined the company in 2005 as the Administrations Director and also as the Shareholder.
As one of the Senior Management Director Level, he is also responsible for the corporate decision making and policy formulations towards realizing goals and visions of BSC and the Group of Companies. With his expertise and knowledge, he strives to continuously developing the Company’s growth.


PENGIRAN HAJI HASSAN PENGIRAN ZAHARI
CHAIRMAN, AUDIT COMMITTEE

He started his career serving the Royal Brunei Police Force for 9 years with his last post Senior Law Instructor at the Police Training Centre. He successfully achieved Commercial Pilot’s Helicopters License clocking over 3000 flying hours for Brunei Shell Petroleum Company. He then moved to BSP with greater responsibility in Human Capital Development.

He joined BSC in 2005 as the Managing Director with the responsibility to handle daily operations. His knowledge, expertise and technical capabilities shall guide BSC in achieving its objectives moving towards global arena.


ROSDI AMIN YAAKUB
HEAD OF FINANCE

Rosdi Amin joined Belait Shipping Company Group (BSC) in February 2020. In this position, Rosdi is responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction at BSC.

Prior to joining BSC, Rosdi held various senior leadership roles with HSBC, Authoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam, Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei and Ministry of Finance. Throughout his 28-years career in banking and financial services, Rosdi has established a reputation for building world-class teams and for aligning financial and business metrics to support business strategy and growth.

Rosdi has led multiple debt financing and advisory transactions and raised in excess of $500 million.

Rosdi holds a BA Accounting and Computer Science from University of Liverpool.


IKMAL AZRI ABD RAHMAN
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Ikmal Azri holds a Chartership from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (UK). Graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Accounting & Finance). Spent 3 years in Internal Audit and Corp Finance with a Malaysian conglomerate prior to spending the last 12 years in Upstream Supply Chain Management with various international Oil & Gas Operators.

He joined BSC in 2017 as the Chief Operating Officer. With his extensive experience in business improvements and cost optimisation, he aims to reshape the company, propelling BSC into the international arena.


AMIROL HAMZAH BASRI
CHIEF OF HUMAN CAPITAL

Amirol is a human resources generalist with experience mainly in the telecommunication, airline and now the maritime industry. He’s a Situational Leadership trainer certified by The Ken Blanchard Companies. He’s an instrumental part of the senior management team, driving the talent strategy of the company.

He’s responsible for all human resource functions, including leadership development, succession planning and organization planning & effectiveness across the business.

His previous track record in developing workforce via Competence Development Program together with premier consultancy firms namely AON Hewitt, Korn & Ferry and Kirkpatrick Partners will be a testament on the Company’s objective on the end-to-end talent management strategy.
